What can I write on the cover?

The name or names, up to 30 characters, exactly as you'd like them – e.g. Ella & Sam. Underneath you can add a year or trip line of up to 24 characters, e.g. 2026 or 2026, or leave it blank. Longer names are scaled to fit. AUSTRALIA TRAVEL JOURNAL is printed above the map.

Do I have to add a photo?

No – it's up to you. Add a photo (on Etsy, upload it with your order; on our website, send it to us by message or by replying to your order email) and we print it in a polaroid frame on the back, cropped to a square, with an optional caption of up to 30 characters. Without a photo, the back has just the row of watercolour icons.

Which paper and size should I choose?

Each journal has 128 pages of 90gsm paper: ruled for writing, plain for sketches and tickets, or graph for plans and lists. A5 slips into a backpack; A4 gives more room for photos and keepsakes.
